CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

“CAD Analyst is the only intuitive tool that presents graphically persuasive evidence of the department’s performance. When Fire Chiefs need monies to secure equipment and redistribute resources, CAD Analyst provides persuasive reports for both equipment and personnel resources.” - Chief Roy Hamlin, City of Miami Fire Rescue Dept.

CAD Analyst : Who Uses CAD Analyst?

Emergency managers and decision-maker require objective, factual data regarding departmental performance at all levels. If, for example, a Fire Department has not examined in a long time its station and apparatus location, it’s entirely possible that a significant portion of its budget is being allocated inefficiently. The department might then choose to re-evaluate its budget in light of operational and response requirements.

With CAD Analyst, those same Fire Administrators can process and analyze many factors affecting workload and incident distribution, including:

  • Uneven workloads
  • Changes in workload by time of day, day of the week, month, and year
  • Fluctuations in incident demographics
  • Changes in traffic conditions
  • Consolidation of independent volunteer fire departments
  • Future growth and annexations
  • Political boundaries and jurisdictions

Working with ADAM, CAD Analyst can also assist Fire Chiefs, EMS Directors or Dispatch Analysts in developing such improved strategies as:

1.      Station repositioning:

CAD Analyst and ADAM can help fire departments to effectively reposition stations and apparatus as based on current workloads and response performance. In the past, station sites were often selected as the outcome of a political or socioeconomic decision with a resultant imbalance in coverage. CAD Analyst and ADAM can rectify these situations by repositioning assets to achieve improved coverage under current circumstances.

2.      Station relocation:

Rather than build a new station, a department might discover a better solution in the relocation of one or more nearby stations. With CAD Analyst, historic CAD data can be thoroughly and effectively analyzed to verify performance probabilities, workloads, and incident rates. ADAM then uses this analysis to determine strategies for relocating stations which can handle the current workload.

3.      In-house consultation:

Emergency managers will always have a command of their department’s needs and operations beyond that an outside consultant. What these managers do need is an analytical tool to research and provide data-backed analyses in support of their strategic decisions. In using CAD Analyst and ADAM, decision-makes can evaluate and verify recommendations offered by external sources.
